Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb 450g ground beef
  • 2 cups uncooked pasta e.g., macaroni, penne, or shells
  • 1 can 15 oz tomato sauce
  • 1 ½ cups shredded cheddar or mozzarella cheese

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned, breaking it up with a spoon. Drain any excess grease.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked pasta, browned ground beef, and tomato sauce. Stir until evenly coated.
  • Transfer the mixture to a greased 9x13-inch baking dish. Sprinkle the shredded cheese evenly over the top.
  • Bake for 15–20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Storage: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the microwave or oven.
  • Freezing: Assemble the casserole but don’t bake it. Cover tightly with foil and freeze for up to 2 months. Thaw overnight in the fridge before baking.
  • Seasonings: Add garlic powder, onion powder, or Italian seasoning for extra flavor.
