Ingredients

  • 1 lb 450g ground beef, pork, turkey, or a combination
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs regular or panko
  • 1 large egg
  • ¼ cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • ¼ cup onion finely diced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  • Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground meat, breadcrumbs, egg, parmesan cheese, garlic, onion, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined.
  • Roll the mixture into evenly sized balls, about 1½ inches in diameter.
  • Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray. Arrange the meatballs in a single layer, ensuring they don’t touch.
  • Cook the meatballs at 375°F (190°C) for 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature of 165°F/74°C).
  • Serve immediately with your favorite sauce or side dish.

Notes

  • Storage: Store leftover meatballs in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the air fryer for 2–3 minutes.
  • Freezing: Freeze uncooked meatballs on a baking sheet, then transfer to a freezer bag. Cook directly from frozen, adding a few extra minutes to the cooking time.
  • Sauce Options: Toss the meatballs in marinara, BBQ sauce, or teriyaki sauce for different flavor profiles.
